Some retailers, such as REI, give their workers Black Friday off. Others have made a decision to stay closed on Thanksgiving, including Costco, H&M, Home Depot, Ikea, Nordstrom and Sam's Club, according to BestBlackFriday.com.

Research company Adobe Analytics projected Thursday that online shopping would reach $124.1 billion this holiday season, up 14.8 percent from previous year, as consumers increasingly make their purchases on the internet rather than in person. According to Forbes Magazine, these are the best deals to expect from Amazon's Black Friday sales this year. This checkout technology is the latest feature built by Target's technology team to make shopping easier for guests.

Amazon will not release a traditional Black Friday ad scan or or an interactive advertisement.
