Pete Davidson addressed his breakup with Ariana Grande on last night's 'SNL'

Does Ariana Grande have a smash on her hands?

Saturday Night Live airs weekly at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Grande's new song, "Thank U, Next", comes just days after the singer responded on Twitter after Davidson joked about their breakup during a promo for this week's episode.

During "Weekend Update" on SNL on Saturday, he said: "I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is, it's nobody's business".

Whether you choose to believe that Ariana is dating herself or Aubrey, enjoy the iconic pop culture moment that is "thank u, next" below. Despite the fact her successful album Sweetener was released in August, the songstress is already in the studio working on her next. The song, titled "thank u, next", came out on streaming services half an hour before the new episode of Saturday Night Live. Rather than being the sassy high-ponytailed kiss-off the title might suggest, "thank u, next" has a honest message of gratitude. Wish I could say, "Thank you" to Malcolm, 'Cause he was an angel, " she sings in the first verse.

People may have been expecting something incredibly shady from the track, but instead it finds Grande in genuinely grateful form for each of her exes.

The NBC series reference Grande and Davidson's romance frequently, starting with a sketch in the season 44 premiere poking fun at how famous Davidson had gotten since starting to date his then-fiancee.
