More than $1 billion up for grabs in upcoming lottery drawings

The next Mega Millions drawing, scheduled for Tuesday, will be worth an estimated $654 million, officials said.

The potential jackpot is the second highest in game history. Powerball's jackpot also represents: There is a top prize of at least $345 million on Wednesday.

The last time anyone won the Mega Millions jackpot was July 24, when a group from California claimed a $543 million prize.

That's the fourth largest lottery prize in USA history.

More than two months ago Powerball hit for the last time when New Yorker Nandlall Mangal was the sole victor of $245.6 million, lottery officials said. The next Mega Millions drawing will be Tuesday.
