Seahawks’ offense struggles in 24-17 loss to Chicago Bears

Wilson was sacked five times in the first half and six times overall. Unfortunately for the Seahawks' comeback hopes, the Bears did manage a second touchdown drive that gave the Bears a 17-3 lead early in the fourth quarter, but as beat up as the defense was, that unit still deserves a lot of credit for how it played.

Chicago took that favorable field position and pushed all the way to Seattle's 7, and while Justin Coleman almost picked off Trubisky at the goal line after he was pressured on third down, the Bears' Cody Parkey kicked a 25-yard field goal to extend their lead to 10-0.

Once again, the Bears defense shut the door thanks to Amukamara, who stepped in front of a receiver on the next Seattle drive and raced 49 yards for the touchdown.

Trubisky struggled with his accuracy early even as his offense was driving 96 yards for a first-possession touchdown.

The Seattle Seahawks' Michael Dickson took advantage of an antiquated rule to dropkick a pair of kickoffs on Monday night. "We want to build something here that is going to be remembered". The fourth quarter was his poorest through his 12 games last season both in overall rating and in completion percentage, which was down to 54.3 along with his lowest yards per attempt for any quarter.

"The fourth quarter really showed us who we are and who we can be", Wilson said. "We just got to get a better start and try to figure out how to catch that fire that we had in the fourth quarter, let's put it in the first, second, third if we can do that, which I don't think we're far off by any means". That's growth right there and that makes me happy to know that he understands that.

Since the numbers say it wasn't for lack of production or exhaustion, some are wondering if Carson may have done or said something to a coach or teammate on the sidelines during the game or in the locker room at halftime.

"I didn't see him beating us, honestly", Clark said of Trubisky.

Additional local volunteers could also be deployed depending on the need in the coming days. In fact, they expect to be sheltering almost 100,000 people within the next 24 hours.

As the Bears said Saturday, guard Kyle Long and cornerback Bryce Callahan will play Monday night despite dealing with injuries during the first two days of practice.

Seattle capped the scoring when rookie tight end Will Dissly caught a 2-yard touchdown with 14 seconds left.

How ugly did it get?

For all the optimism the Bears generated when they acquired Mack from Oakland just over two weeks ago, Trubisky's development will still go a long way toward determining how soon they climb after four straight last-place finishes in the NFC North. Leading wide receiver Doug Baldwin (knee) and linebackers Bobby Wagner (groin) and K.J. Wright (knee) were all ruled out for the game.

"We'll see some guys come back next week", Carroll said.

After the game, Carson sat at his locker and chatted amicably with Penny and fellow backs around him.
