Kawhi Leonard thanks the Spurs' fans and organization and said he is looking forward to the "next chapter" in his National Basketball Association career in his first comments since being traded form San Antonio to Toronto this summer.

Leonard had a bitter exit from San Antonio after he requested for a trade for his lack of trust in the Spurs organization.

In a "Thank You" letter, he expressed his gratitude to the city, its fans, the Spurs organization and to Gregg Popovich.

"I'll always be grateful for my growth under your guidance", Leonard wrote about Popovich.

"I have been going back and forth the last few weeks trying to figure out the right things to say, and it comes down to two simple word: THANK YOU!"

Nunes made several other noteworthy statements to the audience of GOP donors, also concerning the Russian Federation investigation and its supervision.

"Through all the ups and downs - I'm glad there were many more ups!" Leonard gives a shoutout to his teammates "over my seven years in the National Basketball Association".

After announcing that he didn't want to play for the Spurs anymore, Leonard was traded alongside Danny Green to the Raptors in exchange for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poltl, and a protected 2019 first round draft pick.

THANK YOU to the fans!

"It's cool to see all the kids excited to hang out with us, and I'm excited to hang out with them", White said. He was named NBA Finals MVP in 2014 after leading the Spurs to a championship but his relationship with the team deteriorated last season to the point where he asked for a trade. Multiple reports indicated that Popovich and Leonard met in June but were apparently unable to fix the relationship between the club and the two-time defensive player of the year. Leonard, who was craving Los Angeles, reportedly was not happy to be shipped out of the country, and his letter did not address the Raptors.
