Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old girl who was injured during a carjacking.

At around 5:30 pm. local time, Wohl said police in Tumwater, about an hour and a half south of Seattle, received a call for a possible DUI, with a driver erratically going the wrong way down a major thoroughfare. The gunman, not far away, then shot a driver of a vehicle he was attempting to steal.

An active investigation was underway Sunday at multiple scenes at or around the Tumwater Walmart.

Tumwater police say officers were initially responding to a report of a auto driving in the wrong direction but, while en route, were sent to a nearby scene of a reported carjacking with shots fired.

The incident at the Walmart in Tumwater happened about 5 p.m.

Police said that a 16-year-old girl was injured when the suspect tried to hijack her auto.

Q13 Fox later reported that the suspect entered the store, fired at a display case, and then exited, before being approached by the armed citizens in the parking lot.

Brazil vs. Switzerland - Football Match Report
It seemed a matter of time before Brazil's pressure paid dividends and the opener arrived in stunning style on 20 minutes. Brazil will want three points to start their run to the final, while Switzerland would likely be happy with a point.

Police believe the gunman is the suspect in all three incidents. Apparently frustrated in his effort, the gunman then attempted a second carjacking.

Darren Gossler of Elma was in the store when the shooting started. She heard "pop, pop, pop", and a man yelling "there's a guy shooting".

Kailani Bailey told the Tacoma News Tribune she was shopping inside the grocery section of the Walmart when a tall man in a T-shirt and jeans ran in and shoved people out of the way, ordering them to "move, move". Witnesses told other media that they were inside the store and heard shots.

"There were all kinds of people running out", Robert Berwick, who was in the back of the store, told the Seattle Times.

They say they found the 16-year-old's stolen vehicle in the parking lot. "He took action. I really think more people could have been shot. he saved us all".

Wohl said authorities do not yet know anything about the gunman and could not reveal any identifying details.
