- The wife of professional golfer Lucas Glover was arrested in Ponte Vedra Beach over the weekend after a domestic dispute, fueled by alcohol and a poor showing at The Players, turned violent.

Police noted multiple lacerations to both Lucas and his 62-year-old mother, who had blood on her shirt and said she was hit in the chest.

Hershey Glover, the golfer's mother, allegedly attempted to intervene on her son's behalf.

Police arrived to find Glover and his wife involved in a "verbal altercation" outside the residence. She was released at 9:44 a.m. Sunday after posting $2,500 bond.

"Wait till the tour hears about this", Krista reportedly said.

Glover, 38, told the reporting officer that his wife yells at him and starts an altercation 'every time he plays poorly in a tournament'.

It's all in a police report obtained by TMZ Sports ... which says cops in Jacksonville, Florida were called to a rented house where Glover, his wife and mother were staying.

Mancini's Italy head coach appointment paves way for Balotelli return
It will be a first role in worldwide management for Mancini, who has left Russian club Zenit St Petersburg to take up the post. While the current Zenit boss played coy on the appointment to this point, he has officially signed a contract with Italy .

Police officials noted in the report that Krista resisted them, refusing to get in the squad auto by "blocking herself from sitting down".

Once Glover was in the auto, the report says she "began screaming while forcefully kicking the rear driver's side door ... causing the door to visibly separate from the cell of the door frame".

She allegedly tried to wrap her legs and feet around the frame of the open auto door, but several deputies pulled and pushed until she got in.

"Regrettably, although Krista was charged, we are comfortable that the judicial system is able to address what actually happened and Krista will be cleared in this private matter". Authorities were kind enough to loosen her handcuffs in the vehicle as they were transporting her, which turned out to be a bad idea because she attempted to flee their custody. "We thank you for respecting our privacy as we work through this uncomfortable situation". Wait till I talk with the judge, you will be f***ng fired over this'.

Glover won the 2009 U.S. Open and has two other career PGA wins, with the most recent coming at the Wells Fargo Championship in 2011.

GOLF.com has reached out to Glover's agent for additional comment.

According to the incident report, Lucas Glover tried to ensure that deputies wouldn't arrest his wife of six years by changing his witness statement.
