HBO announced Wednesday that it is co-producing a 4-hour documentary series, "The Case Against Adnan Syed", which will revisit the 1999 murder of Baltimore High School student Hae Min Lee.

Syed was jailed in 1999 for the murder of ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee and has been serving a life sentence ever since.

The docoseries is directed by Amy Berg, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 2006 for Deliver Us From Evil, an exposé sex abuse claims against the Catholic church. It will bring us from the early days of their relationship up to the present, as Syed prepares for a new trial. His original conviction and his subsequent efforts to get a new trial have galvanized people throughout the world since they were featured in 2014 in the "Serial" podcast, which was produced by former Baltimore Sun reporter Sarah Koenig. "The hugely talented Amy Berg has access to those closest to the investigation, which is sure to make unmissable viewing".

Adnan Syed, whose murder conviction was the focus of the popular Serial podcast, will be profiled in a forthcoming four-part investigative docuseries from HBO Documentary Films and European network Sky. The State of Maryland appealed the lower court judge's ruling, but on March 29, 2018, the Court of Special Appeals also ruled to vacate Syed's conviction and granted him the retrial he has been waiting for. Syed has always said he is innocent and, since his story garnered wider attention, he has been granted a new trial.

Shenmue 3 Has Been Delayed
Yu Suzuki then chimed in on the game's Kickstarter page , saying "To all of our backers, we are very sorry for the delay". The delay is not something that should come as a shock to loyal fans who have been following " Shenmue 3's " development.

The series has been in production since 2015, but there is no date now set for its release.

Instinct's Henrietta Conrad and Jemima Khan serve as executive producers alongside Working Title's Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan and Andrew Stearn.

The series will have a soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.
