RED Will Launch the Hydrogen One on AT&T and Verizon This Summer

Not much is known about the RED Hydrogen One beside the specs.

When the RED HYDROGEN ONE launches you'll be able to look around, below and into your screen's image with a 4-view holographic display, which is better still than 3D.

Building off of the modular roots of the Moto Z, the Hydrogen One features a pogo pin system that will allow for add-ons that enhance the functionality of the phone over time.

RED's Hydrogen One smartphone will be available on AT&T and Verizon this summer but no release date has announced. Early adopters pre-ordered the RED Hydrogen One starting at $1,195, but the final, "mass"-oriented tag could be higher, which is why device payment plans are likely to come in handy".

YouTube Expanding Music Credits on Videos
As of today, more than half a billion YouTube videos will contain new credits such as songwriter, label and publisher data. Björn Ulvaeus, songwriter, said: "The songwriter is every bit as important as the artist and deserves recognition".

YouTube personality Marques Brownlee saw a prototype of the phone past year and was impressed by the holographic screen despite some rough edges that Red will presumably smooth over before the phone launches.

If you live in or around Los Angeles, AT&T will be demoing the Hydrogen One at Warner Bros. No pricing information was given with the announcement about the availability either.

That's something not available on any other handset right now, whether they run iOS or Android.

Simultaneously Verizon announced that it would also be carrying the RED Hydrogen One. Apple, for what it's worth, has patents detailing holographic screens. Even Verizon's press release echoes a similar sentiment: "you have to hold it in your hands and experience it yourself to understand why this is such a mobile game changer". RED is no longer accepting pre-orders for the phone.
