Dortmund were beaten 3-1 at Hoffenheim on Saturday but clung on to fourth spot in the Bundesliga thanks to a superior goal difference over fifth-placed Bayer Leverkusen.

Peter Stoeger announced on Saturday he was stepping down as Borussia Dortmund coach, after leading the Bundesliga club to a Champions League place.

Borussia Dortmund are on the lookout for a new manager as Peter Bosz confirms that he will not stay on for another campaign.

"This was my last contracted game for Dortmund, which we decided together some time ago", he was quoted as saying by ESPN.

Prime Minister Oli had then expressed his desire for an early visit by Prime Minister Modi. Prime Minister Modi will also be present on the occasion as India.

"It was a very hard season and at the end I am just happy that we made it and rescued ourselves at the finish line", said Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin. "A new system, with a new coach, will do the club well".

BVB midfielder Sebastian Rode revealed earlier this month the squad were expecting to have a new man in charge for next term and Stoger's exit suggests a succession plan has been formulated. However, Nice coach Lucien Favre is said to be the favourite for the Dortmund job.

Stoeger's contract was due to expire at the end of the season.

Sunday's loss to Hoffenheim saw them finish 29 points shy of champions Bayern Munich and outside the top three for just the second time in eight seasons.
