OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shares OnePlus 6 camera samples ahead of launch


"OnePlus 6's glass design is centred around creating a "sense of value" and "premium hand-feel" and the glass back contains five printed layers of "Nanotech Coating", a first in the smartphone industry", Pete Lau, had earlier said in a blog post.

Along with the its own official website, OnePlus 6 can also have livestream to launch new flagship smart phone by using the social media platforms like as You Tube. OnePlus has managed to keep us excited about the launch of the device with a regular dose of teases and forum posts talking about the upcoming features in the upcoming smartphone. The launch event of the next-in flagship device will kick-off at 5pm BST (9:30pm IST) and the company will be live streaming the unveil event online.

Moving to the internal specifications, the OnePlus has advertised on that its new flagship will arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

Where can you buy the OnePlus 6 from?

For the enthusiasts, they are unhappy with such a setup because it has made the OnePlus 6 looking more generic than ever.

OnePlus will be livestreaming the launch event through various channels. In 2018, the company claims that OnePlus 6 will be on par if not better than rival phones such as Google Pixel 2, Apple iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9.

Well, it's 2018, so here are couple of things I believe OnePlus can still add, wireless charging (we're expecting it on the 6 because there's a glass body), possibly a bigger camera for selfies, more RAM (12 GB???) and possibly even an under-display fingerprint reader (borrowed from its sibling Vivo). On the front, OnePlus 6 is expected to house a 20MP sensor with facial recognition feature. The 128GB storage variant is said to cost Rs. 39,999, while the OnePlus 6 price in India for the 256GB variant has not been revealed yet.

On the purchase of OnePlus 6, customers can avail a discount of INR 2,000 on SBI Credit and Debit card transactions during the first week. Users who pre-book the device will get Rs 1,000 cashback in Amazon Pay balance the warranty of the device will be extended by three months.

The OnePlus will be available for purchase in India on May 21 and May 22 in limited sale.

What we also know about the OnePlus 6 is that it will be the first smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker to feature an IP rating which means it will be dust and water resistant.
