HMD Global announced the long-time rumoured and talked about Nokia X6 in China today. This is Nokia's first smartphone which comes with Display Notch. Inside, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC.
The Nokia X6 can be bought on May 21 in China starting at CNY1,299 ($204) for the most modest 4GB/32GB variant. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back which has a glossy finish thanks to an all-glass design.
In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a full-HD display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The device is powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz along with Adreno 509 GPU. There is expected to be 32GB/ 64GB onboard storage, expandable up to 128GB (via microSD). Around the back, Nokia has fitted a dual-lens camera system comprising 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel (monochrome) sensors, both of which have f/2.0 apertures. For the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. Other features include a 3060mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 where the company claims that users can charge up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.

Running Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box, the device will feature a dual-camera setup - 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. The hues variations are blue, dark and silver. While the company launched four new smartphones, only the Nokia 7 Plus came with the 18:9 display. Currently, there is no word on global availability of the smartphone. It has been priced at CNY 1299 for the 4GB + 32GB variant, CNY 1499 for the 4GB + 64GB variant and the 6GB + 64GB variant has been priced at CNY 1699.
Connectivity options include Cat.4 LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
For the camera, the Finnish company is touting the presence of artificial intelligence (AI) features for improved photography, such as optimized color, field and portrait lighting effects, as well as face recognition.
