Midfielder Arfield swaps Burnley for Rangers

Arfield made a decision to leave Burnley as his contract came to an end with the prospect of a new challenge under England and Liverpool legend Gerrard too tempting to turn down.

"I fully believe I can handle the expectation at a club like this".

New Rangers manager Steven Gerrard hopes to emulate the style of football that Jurgen Klopp has established at Liverpool.

Arfield is the first major signing of the Gerrard era, but as the man himself admits, Rangers were interested in signing him several months ago - before Gerrard's appointment. "There were a few options in England that could have crept up but as soon as this magnitude of club came in, and coming back up the road appealed to me and my family, it was a no brainer".

'When you look at the style of football that Jurgen Klopp plays, I think every fan in the world loves watching that. "Leaving the Premier League wasn't as big a deal as it would be for other players".

"I'm really, really excited about it and so is Steven".

"Even before the manager walks in with his No.2, Rangers have that appeal".

Even with death penalty, defense lawyer's 'overall strategy' unlikely to change
Local leaders weigh in on the controversial proposal, seven years after the death penalty was abolished by State Lawmakers. Rauner on Monday alluded to the concerns his predecessors had regarding innocent people being sentenced to death at trial.

"The stature of him suits a club of this stature".

"He is one of the top three players of my generation".

"We go up to Glasgow and we will give it our best".

However, Arfield is out of contract this summer and after receiving an approach from Rangers, the Canadian has opted to make the switch North of the border.

'It is just an absolute dream, ' Arfield said.

Speaking on being Gerrard" first signing, Arield said, "Of course there is pride.
