Pelicans All-Star Anthony Davis is a finalist for the MVP award and the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Embiid will compete for the award with Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans, who is also a finalist the league's Most Valuable Player award. He had 12 triple-doubles in the regular season.

Harden, the league's leading scorer in the regular season with an average of 30.4 points per game, appears the favorite to succeed Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook as MVP when the awards are announced on June 25.

To the victor goes the spoils, and while the Philadelphia 76ers unfortunately didn't close out the 2018 National Basketball Association season as National Basketball Association champions, they are receiving some much-deserved praise for their efforts nationally. Davis averaged 28.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.6 blocks and 1.5 steals a game.

Amazon launches 8 new voices for Alexa Skills
Currently, developers are stuck with Alexa's standard voice for any skill they want to make, but that's all about to change. For example, in an adventure story or game, developers can give distinct voices to different characters.

The Rockets' Eric Gordon - the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year - was again named a finalist for the award.

Simmons, Utah shooting guard Donovan Mitchell and Boston small forward Jayson Tatum are the rookie-of-the-year finalists.

James was named the Kia NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month four times during the year and has now won the award 38 times in his career. The Brow was an absolute monster on both ends of the court, evidenced by the fact that he also finished in the top three of the Defensive Player of the Year voting.
