LeBron James Heads to Locker Room in Game 2 Against Celtics

As most hoops fans know, the Cavs struggled to find their shooting stroke in Game 1, as they connected on just four of their 26 attempts from beyond the arc. He's 2-4 in series in which he's trailed 0-2 (the 2007 Eastern Conference Finals against the Pistons and 2016 Finals against the Warriors being the exceptions). He's obviously the best player in the game, and you need multiple guys and a team to guard him an entire game.

The Celtics also have to be prepared for a bounce-back individual performance from James. "We look to try to get off to a good start".

The assignment for Boston Celtics forward Marcus Morris in his first start this postseason was easy to explain but almost impossible to execute. "He's always done it".

'They rebounded it, and we came back on the defensive end, ' he continued. Morris excelled in a way even he couldn't have expected in Game 1. We played well with that lineup.

The same goes for Smart and Brown, both of whom did well on limited possessions against James in Game 1. "I've been down before in the postseason".

Cleveland have been written off through much of the post-season due to the playoff inexperience of their roster and they have already encountered challenges, overcoming a Game 1 defeat in their first round triumph over the Indiana Pacers.

Perhaps fueling James' confidence, besides all his experience, is the rationalization that it would be hard for the Cavs to play much worse. He was leading the Cavaliers in points and assists before he headed to the locker room.

Prior to that point, the Celtics had never put anything on their floor, as reported in the same story, making the honor all the more special. Still, he needs to be a reliable second option for Cleveland to support James against a Celtics team that has a distinct edge in balance.

Cavs' Kyle Korver, $5,200: Korver had a quiet 15.75 fantasy points in Game 1 after going just 1-of-5 from the arc.

The Celtics trailed by seven, 55-48, after a sluggish start in the first half, but came out of the locker room on fire. Miami won the series in five. LeBron James is leading the way with 25 points, five assists and four rebounds.

While at Kansas, Marcus Morris averaged 12.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game according to sportsreference.com. Equally notable, in the six Game 2s he's lost when facing an 0-1 deficit, he's averaged 23.8. Just gaudy numbers for a guy in his 15th season. In fact, he has a shot at two milestones in Game 2.

But James' teammates-who shot 4-of-21 from three-point range Sunday while James went 0-of-5-shouldn't be sitting around and waiting to be rescued. Since returning to Cleveland, he's 3-2.

Thompson's strategy against Horford doesn't sound complicated. However, they didn't do the same for James.
