The global atomic energy Agency today confirmed that Iran continues to adhere to the terms of the nuclear deal with world powers, even after the United States abandoned the agreement.
"Turkey has always defended the stance that issues regarding Iran's nuclear program should be resolved through diplomacy and negotiations and has made intensive efforts in this direction", the ministry said in a press release on its website.
The reaction came hours after United States President Donald Trump announced his decision to exit the deal.
The United States will not stop funding intense International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspections in Iran, despite its pull-out from the nuclear deal with Tehran, a U.S. official says.

With the U.S. pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal, India will take all measures to safeguard its interests in the West Asian nation, a senior official said here on Thursday.
Trump on Tuesday announced that the USA was withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal signed by the Obama administration in 2015 under which Tehran had agreed to limit its sensitive nuclear activities and allow in worldwide inspectors in return for the lifting of crippling economic sanctions.
The historic nuclear deal was reached in Vienna in July 2015 between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council along with Germany and the European Union.
"As such, we consider it an unfortunate step that the USA has made a decision to withdraw from the deal".
"We expect Iran will continue to implement the Additional Protocol and cooperate with the IAEA whether or not the JCPOA remains in place", one senior administration official told AFP. The pact, lifted sanctions on Iran in exchange for Tehran limiting its nuclear program. It also allows the USA to threaten to "punish" Iran for disobeying, even though the United States is already set to punish them despite complying with the deal.
