During Pennsylvania's Tuesday, May 15, 2018, primary election, Republican Party voters in the state will select Barletta or Pennsylvania state Rep. Jim Christiana as their nominee to challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. "Bob Casey has resisted, rejected, and obstructed the president's agenda at every turn".
With 49 % of precincts reporting, Barletta led Christiana by nearly 40,000 votes out of greater than 227,000 forged. The incumbent- Sen. Bob Casey- is unopposed in the democratic race.
"But most of all, Barletta has made it clear that if elected to the Senate, he would put Donald Trump's interests ahead of the people of Pennsylvania", the party said. Casey is a strong critic of the president.
