BlackBerry sends out invites for the launch of KEY2

It has confirmed that an event is going to take place in NY on June 7th at 10 am.

The BlackBerry KEY2 will succeed KEYone and as per its Twitter post, the company will host a launch event of 7 June at 10 am EST (that is around 1930 hours IST) in NY to officially launch its latest smartphone.

The BlackBerry tweeted today May 11 that the BlackBerry KEY2 would launch on June 7, 2018.

While not much is yet known about the features that BlackBerry KEY2 will offer, it will carry its signature physical keyboard in all likelihood. Last month, a mysterious BlackBerry handset, codenamed "Athena", appeared in a Chinese certification site.

Back in April, an image surfaced of what was believed to be the KEY2, the successor to BlackBerry's KEYone.

Furthermore, the Key2 is rumoured to have a plastic build.
