The Mueller Russian indictment

"President Trump and the administration have made it clear that interference in our elections will have consequences and we're going to continue to impose consequences in response to Russian cyber attacks".

Summary: Russia released a statement denying any meddling in the 2016 USA presidential election or before.

The FBI during the Obama administration did begin investigating Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 election through email hacks and pushing fake news on social media.

Rob Goldman, Facebook's VP of Ad Product, fired off two important tweets, "Most of the coverage of Russian meddling involves their attempt to effect the outcome of the 2016 U.S. election".

"But Trump glossed over Russian responsibility and offered no indication of what his administration would do about it". The New York Times reports there is plenty evidence linking Trump's relationship with Russian Federation.

According to the 37 page indictment, thirteen Russian individuals and three entities participated in a conspiracy to manipulate and disrupt the democratic process leading up to America's recent presidential election.

Looking for a new narrative after a Trump-Russia collusion story fell apart last Friday, the mainstream media circled back to Russia - and how President Trump should focus on Russia anyway.

He seemed to imply that though the Federal Bureau of Investigation did make "a mistake" their work on the Russian Federation matter should outweigh not being able to stop the alleged school shooter.

Americans should not be surprised by USA special counsel Robert Mueller's allegation that Russian Federation meddled in the 2016 presidential election. "What he's saying is it didn't have an impact and it certainly didn't have help from the Trump campaign".

The president also took a swipe at his attorney general, misspelling his name.

Mueller's indictment alleged that two of the Russian nationals named in the document visited Colorado in 2014 as part of a larger effort to gather intelligence on swing states, undermine the USA political system and, eventually, support Donald Trump's presidential candidacy. In October 2016, after the intelligence community stated that Russian Federation had penetrated the Democratic National Committee's computers, Trump suggested the DNC had hacked itself and released its own emails. Mark Zuckerberg's social network has been in the hot seat since it was revealed that Russian trolls abused Facebook - as well as rival platforms Twitter and Google-owned YouTube - to meddle in the election and sow discord among Americans. Trump and Putin discussed election interference in Hamburg, Germany, in July 2017. "It happens to be based on no facts; every expert, regardless of political party, regardless of ideology, conservative or liberal, who has ever examined these issues in a serious way, will tell you that instances of significant voter fraud are not to be found".
